My research interest addresses the spatial modelling of systems in Biology by using my background in Mathematics, Physics and Numerical Simulations. Analytical analysis and numerical implementation of differential equations and stochastic investigations using accurate and massive simulations play a vital role. Besides, statistical analysis of a huge set of data, obtained by using computational clusters, must be one of the top concerns. |
The reason why I am motivated to carry out my research is the opportunity to contribute directly to the understanding of complex biological systems. For example, population dynamics is a rich scenario to apply the advanced numerical techniques, widely used in Physics. Although my goal is bringing the physical concepts from my studies in Cosmology to Biology, I am very open to the possibility of working in new areas.
